While Hotmail is a very useful free email service, there are fewer and fewer email subscribers. Instead, Gmail and Yahoo mail are more selective because of their ease of use. If you want to delete Hotmail account, you can follow the instructions below.
First, you need to log in to your account by visiting the Hotmail homepage and sign in your Hotmail username and password.
Once you’re in the Hotmail main interface, go to the settings icon and select Options.
In the settings panel, select Account details (password, address, time zone).
At this point, you will be directed to the Account control panel. Choose Security & Password> Close my account.
Hotmail will ask you to confirm your account closure. If you have decided, select Next.
At the next screen, Hotmail will send you a table of information on the effects of closing the email account caused. Read it and click on the empty boxes, then select Mark account for closure.
Finally, you will receive a confirmation email. Your account will remain protected for up to 60 days. During this time, if you want to go back to using Hotmail, you just need to visit again as usual.
To complete the process, select Done.
