- You must ensure that the password reset information in your Hotmail account is always up-to-date so in all cases if you forget your password, you will always be able to reset your password by using recovery information. And To reset your password information, you need to visit the Windows Live account page.
- There are times when you need to check your email on a public computer when your trusted computer is unavailable. You should always use HTTPS instead of plain HTTP on public computers.
- Turn on two-step verification for your Microsoft account for enhanced security, via Hotmail or through a third-party application.
